Found out my 'ergonomic' mouse pad is actually a desk mat for board games

I was cleaning my desk yesterday and flipped my mouse pad over to find a label that said 'Premium Tabletop Gaming Surface - Not for Office Use.' Spent $35 on it at a random electronics shop in Portland thinking I was getting wrist support. Has anyone else discovered their gear is secretly meant for a totally different hobby?

Did your buddy get tricked into buying a "pro gaming chair" that turned out to be a racing sim seat with no lumbar support? My friend dropped $200 on one before he realized he couldn't sit in it for more than 20 minutes without his back killing him.

Wait, isn't a racing sim seat supposed to have some lumbar support built in though? Most of the bucket style seats have that curve at the bottom but it's for racing posture not sitting upright at a desk, so your friend probably just got a cheap knock off rather than an actual sim rig seat. The real racing seats I've seen can actually be comfortable for a few hours if you're in the right position, but yeah that $200 one sounds like it was just badly made.
