Found a weird mushroom cluster in my backyard last Wednesday

I was pulling weeds near the compost pile and spotted this bright orange mushroom growing in a perfect circle about 2 feet wide. My plant app said it's some kind of jack-o'-lantern mushroom but I'm not sure since it didn't glow at night. Has anyone else seen funky fungi patterns like this in their garden beds?

Saw the same thing by my tomatoes last fall, freaked me out.

Wait, you seriously found one of those things in your garden? I had no idea they could show up that far north. I always figured they stayed down south where it's warm and wet. I nearly stepped on mine before I even saw it. Was just walking along the edge of the woods behind my house and there it was, all reddish and smooth like a weird pancake. Had to look it up three times before I believed it was real. The weirdest thing is how fast they pop up. I swear one morning there was nothing, and by evening that thing was the size of a dinner plate. Just sitting there like it owned the place.
