My monstera switched sides in 3 months and nobody warned me

I had it pressed against the east window for 2 years, then flipped it last August because the leaves were all leaning one way, and now the new leaves face west and the old ones refuse to move. Has anyone else seen a plant commit to a direction that hard, or is mine just stubborn?

Plants do this, mine took a full year to face the light again.
