That $60 fern I bought at a farmers market died in 2 weeks
Saw this huge Boston fern at the Saturday market in Denver. Looked perfect. Guy said it was easy. Bought it for $60 and brought it home. Turns out it had root rot already from sitting in wet soil. Repotted it, tried everything, still browned out fast. Now I only buy plants from the local nursery that actually grows them. Anyone else get burned by market vendors with pretty but sick plants?

Did you ever go back and say something to the guy? Curious if he knew he was selling you a sick plant or if he was just clueless.
