My kitchen faucet started dripping bad about 10 days ago, like a cup of water filling up every hour, so I watched a 7 minute video and swapped the cartridge for $3 at the Ace on 5th. Took me two tries because I put the O-ring in backwards the first time and it sprayed everywhere. Now it works fine but my brother in law says I voided the warranty and a real plumber would've caught a worn seat too. So what's the call here, do you actually save money DIYing small plumbing fixes or does it just bite you later?
