That snap ring on my mower deck ate an entire afternoon
Tbh a simple spindle swap on my Husqvarna turned into a 4-hour fight because the snap ring was frozen solid with grass juice. I bent two picks and a cheap hook tool from Harbor Freight before my neighbor in Lansing walked over with a torch and a pair of 90 degree pliers. If your deck is older than 3 seasons, soak that ring in penetrating oil the night before or you will be out there till dark like I was. What is your go-to tool for grabbing a ring that has basically welded itself into the groove?
