Why does nobody talk about the 4 hour wait on a $90 timing belt kit for a 2003 Civic

When I did my first timing belt at 19 I paid a shop in Fresno $600 to do it, but now I just watch one YouTube video twice, buy the $90 kit, and spend 4 hours in my driveway cussing at a crank bolt, so what's the dumbest thing you've paid someone to do that you now do yourself?
