inHit $200 in cash back rewards and felt like a fool
Oh man, same thing happened to me last year when I tried to go cash only for three months... thought I was being all smart and frugal. But between the ATM fees that just kept stacking up and the fact I'd lose track of where I spent my change, I ended up feeling pretty dumb too. I remember paying like $4.50 just to pull out $20 at a Shell station in East Nashville... that hurt. And then I'd have all these random coins and wrinkled bills stuffed in my car cup holders. So yeah, I totally get the hidden costs part, it's way more stressful than it seems.

inFound a coupon code for 30% off my usual protein powder brand that saved me $45 on my last order
Wait, did you test it on other stuff too? I totally feel you on the code lifespan thing - I once had a 30% off code work on my order three months after it supposedly expired, and I was half convinced it was a glitch or something.

inPicked a handsaw over a chainsaw for a tight backyard job today
Honestly, are you really tracking sawdust from a Zubat or measuring how clean it actually cuts?

Spent that cash on a better knife instead, never looked back.

inA stranger at the laundromat gave me a writing prompt that turned into my best short story
So you think there's a difference between random and deliberate with strangers? Where's the line exactly, when someone sees your work and says something, isn't that still random just with a bit of targeting? I feel like the outcome is the same either way, you still get a prompt you didn't expect from someone you don't know.
