Hit 100,000 miles on my original pads last Tuesday

Thought I'd get a warning light or some grinding, but they just quietly made it to 100k. Anyone else have factory pads that refused to die?

Wait, aren't brake pads usually supposed to be replaced way before 100k miles? I thought most shops say to do them around 50-60k.

My buddy's Chevy truck went 120k on factory pads, highway miles make a huge difference.
