The squeal that sold me on ceramic pads took 400 miles to appear
I swapped my semi-metallics for ceramics last month on my 2013 Outback in Tucson and hated them at first, no bite at all on the steep Speedway grade. Then after about 400 miles of stop and go traffic the pads finally bedded in and the rotor surface changed from shiny to a dull gray, and now they stop smooth with zero dust on the silver wheels. Anyone else see that weird lag period where ceramics feel weak before they grab, or did I just get a bad batch?
