Earthy brick tones are popping up everywhere in my city...

I've been spotting more homes with muted brown and gray bricks... instead of the classic red. Builders say it's to match modern minimalist styles. Are you guys using more of these colors on your projects too?

Yeah those muted bricks are everywhere now. Feels like everything's getting that washed out look, from phone colors to new car paints. Even the new apartment building down the street looks like a giant clay pot.

Seriously! I saw a coffee shop last week that was the exact same weird tan color as my neighbor's new crossover. Even the fancy furniture ads look like someone put everything through a sad Instagram filter. Walked past a clothing store yesterday where every shirt was either dusty rose or concrete gray.

But is it actually about matching a style, or is it just cheaper to make bricks in those colors now?
