The site foreman's laser level rule saved my wall after 30 feet

We were laying a long retaining wall by the river and hit 30 feet before I noticed it was leaning back 1/4 inch. He made me pull every course and re-set with a laser every 5 feet, which took us all day. Anyone else swear by checking levels way more often on longer runs?
