Tried laying 3 courses dry to check my corners last Tuesday and it cost me an hour
I wanted to see if dry stacking the first 3 courses would catch a corner that was running out on me, and instead I chased a phantom 1/4 inch out to 3/4 before I caught it. Turned out my line block was slipping on the lead, not the brick. Do any of you check plumb with a level on each course, or do you just trust the line?

Stop checking plumb every course and start marking your line block position so you know if it walked.
