My brother-in-law Dave told me to stop paying the minimum on my credit cards back in 2019.
I ignored him for two years and threw an extra $150 a month at a Target card instead, which barely dented the interest. Has anyone else had family give solid money advice they wished they listened to sooner?

Ha, yeah my dad told me to start a 401k at 22 and I waited until 35 like a genius.

Heard a buddy tell a story about his dad giving him the same advice, and he laughed it off until he hit 40. Then he did the math on what he missed out on (like an extra 200k or something) and it was pretty brutal. At least you started eight years earlier than that guy, so you're already ahead of someone.
