Lost a ground screw on my laptop motherboard near Portland airport security
After pulling my laptop out of the bin at PDX TSA last month, I found the screw for the wifi card was gone and now I use a tiny piece of electrical tape to hold it in place, has anyone else lost a tiny screw this way?

Wait, mid-flight? That screw came off during an actual flight? I just lost mine standing still at security and thought that was bad enough. Electrical tape holding a wifi card down at 30,000 feet with turbulence is a whole different level of trust in that little strip of adhesive.

Actually the screw for the wifi card is usually one of the ones that holds the card down, not the card itself. If the screw is missing the card can still work but it might wiggle loose. The tape trick works but you're better off finding a replacement screw because that tape can slip with heat. I had one come off mid-flight once and lost the wifi signal for a whole connection in Denver.
