I finally looked up how much restaurants mark up pasta dishes

I was reading a business article from the Denver Post that said a typical $18 plate of spaghetti in a sit-down place costs the restaurant about $2.50 to make. That's over 600%! It made me stop ordering it out completely. What's a meal you stopped buying after seeing the real cost?

My buddy saw a video breaking down the cost of movie theater popcorn. He said the markup was so wild he just sneaks in his own bag of chips now. What's the craziest markup you've heard of?

Honestly I just bring a big purse and stuff snacks in there, saves so much money.

Wait, they only spend two and a half bucks to make a whole plate? That's insane.
