Just realized meal prepping with canned beans beats dried every time for saving money
I spent like 3 hours soaking and cooking dried black beans last Sunday and ended up with mushy mess. A can of beans costs 89 cents at my local Aldi and takes 2 minutes to heat up. The dried beans were cheaper per pound but I wasted so much time and gas on the stove. Am I missing something or is the convenience worth the extra few cents?

I read somewhere that the sodium in canned beans is like way higher than dried, which is why some people soak them. But honestly I just rinse mine in a strainer and it seems fine.

My friend tried dried beans once and the pot boiled over and ruined her stove burner.
