My $40 grocery run turned into a $9 dinner after the power went out in Dayton
Last Tuesday I got home to my apartment in Dayton with a full cart of stuff, chicken, peppers, rice, the works, and the power was dead from a storm. I panicked about losing $40 of food, so I fired up the old charcoal grill on the porch and cooked the chicken and peppers right there in a foil pan. Ended up making rice on the camp stove and we ate like kings for about $9 total since nothing got tossed. What do you all keep on hand for nights the stove and fridge both quit on you?
