Picked dried beans over canned at the store in Denver and I'm honestly not sure it was worth it
Last month I stood in the aisle at the King Soopers on Colorado Blvd and grabbed a $1.50 bag of dried pinto beans instead of the $1.19 cans I usually get three of. I soaked them overnight and cooked a big pot that made about 8 servings for way less per bowl, but it ate up my whole Sunday afternoon and two of them came out kind of firm. Does anyone actually do the math on this or do you just buy canned when you're tired after work?
