Stretching a single pack of ground beef into three dinners

Ground beef is pricey. I stretch it with lentils. Cook a cup of lentils first. Brown the beef with chopped onions. Mix them together in a pan. Add cheap spices like cumin and chili powder. This mix works for tacos, pasta sauce, or a casserole. My family loves it, and I save cash.

Yeah the lentil mix is solid for stuffed peppers. Really bulks them out without losing flavor. Good move for chili too.

My buddy Mike tried the lentil trick when his budget got tight. He swore by it for his chili and stuffed peppers.

Half a cup of red lentils disappears right into my pasta sauce. Makes it way thicker and you don't even taste them.
