Tracked my grocery spending for a month and hit $212 total

I cooked everything from scratch using only sale items and bulk bins, and $212 is the lowest I've ever gotten for a whole month of feeding just myself. Has anyone else tried a strict "no extras" challenge and beat that number?

Did you factor in stuff like oil, salt, spices, and other pantry staples you already had? Because the first time I tried this kind of challenge I spent nearly $60 on restocking basics like olive oil, soy sauce, and curry powder, and that totally blew my budget for the month. I'm just wondering if $212 was a true "starting from zero" number or if you had a built-in advantage. What about things like coffee, tea, or condiments - did those count against your total?

Honestly used to roll my eyes at these posts but yeah that's actually impressive as hell.
