Booked a flight through Skyscanner vs direct airline last month and saved $84

I was booking a trip to Austin Texas for a weekend and noticed the price on Skyscanner was $84 cheaper than booking straight on the airline's site. The catch was it used a third party booking site I had never heard of called WhooAir or something. I went for it and the flight was fine no issues at all. But I did get nervous when the airline app didn't show my reservation for like 2 hours after booking. Has anyone else used those random third party sites and had it work out okay or did you get burned?

oh man, that reminds me of the time I booked a hotel through one of those weird aggregator sites for a trip to Portland. I got a killer deal on a room near the river, but when I showed up at midnight, the hotel had no record of my reservation. The front desk guy was super nice though, he let me crash in the lobby couch while I called the third party site. It took like an hour on hold but they sorted it out and I got a free breakfast voucher for the trouble. So yeah, I get the nervousness about the airline app not showing it right away, that's happened to me too.

wait, you slept on the lobby couch?! that's wild. i wouldve been so stressed out at midnight not knowing if i was gonna have a place to crash or not. props to you for just rolling with it though, i probably wouldve lost my mind. glad the front desk guy was cool about it, that couldve gone way worse.
