My cheap travel pillow popped on the train to Berlin
It happened last Tuesday on the 8:15 AM ICE train from Frankfurt. I heard a quiet hiss and felt my head sink. The inflatable pillow I got for 5 euros at a discount store had a seam split. I ended up using my rolled-up hoodie for the rest of the trip, which was actually way more comfortable. Has anyone else had a budget gear fail and found a better free fix?

Classic case of getting what you paid for, a five euro pillow giving up halfway to Berlin. At least it had the decency to fail quietly instead of a full-on balloon pop. The universe was basically telling you to use the hoodie all along. Bet that rolled-up sweater is now your official travel gear.
