That $15 hostel bed in Prague got me thinking different

I was talking to my nephew about his Europe trip last week and he said he spent $12 a night on a capsule hotel in Tokyo with wifi, free coffee, and a shared kitchen. Back in 2008 I stayed in a cramped dorm in Prague for $15 a night and thought it was a steal, and now kids are getting way more for less. How do these new places keep prices so low while offering all those extras?

Wait, so you're telling me I overpaid for the PRIVILEGE of listening to some guy snore in a language I don't understand? Sounds about right for my 20s.
