My sister told me to stop buying coffee out and I told her that was boomer math, then I did the actual numbers
She said cutting my $4.75 daily cold brew would save me almost $1,200 a year, and I laughed it off until I added up my bank app in January and saw I had spent $340 in one month just on drinks. I still think some of the extreme frugal advice out there is silly, but she was right about this one thing. Anyone else had a family member's annoying tip actually pan out when you checked the receipts?
My mom kept telling me to check my subscriptions and I blew her off for months. Finally did it and found three apps I forgot about, $46 a month gone. That's over $500 a year just poof. Moms are annoying but sometimes they're right.
