Appreciation post: the guy at the gas station who asked what all my little boxes were
I was filling up on Highway 9 in Woodinville on Tuesday and this older guy pointed at my open notebook on the passenger seat and asked what all the little boxes were. I told him it was a bullet journal and he goes, "so it's a to do list with extra steps." I laughed, then sat there for a minute realizing he's kind of right for me, because I've spent way more time drawing monthly spreads and picking washi tape than actually checking anything off. I ripped out the fancy tracker pages that night and went back to just a daily log with dots and dashes. How do you all handle the pull to make it pretty when the plain version works better?
