Showerthought: dropped $2,400 on a fiber line for my shop in Ohio and the installer was the problem, not the cable
Two sides here. Some folks swear business fiber is worth every penny, others say a solid cable plan does the same job for half. For me it was neither. I paid $2,400 out of pocket to trench fiber to my shop outside Dayton because my old DSL kept dropping orders during card payments. Then the installer kinked the run at the corner and swore it was fine. Three months of random outages later, a different tech found the kink and fixed it in 20 minutes. So where do you land, was my money wasted or did I just get a bad install? Curious what others have paid for a dedicated line versus what they actually got.
