That 2004 Honda Accord weekend that turned into a 16 hour marathon
Last spring I thought I could swap the alternator on my old Accord in about 3 hours. Turns out the bracket bolts were rusted solid and I sheared one clean off, then spent the next 13 hours drilling it out in my buddy Tom's driveway near Pittsburgh. By Sunday night I had it running, but my knuckles looked like ground beef and I'd used every extension socket I owned. Has anyone else had a 'quick job' that ballooned into an all-day battle just because of one seized bolt?

Man, that story hit me right in the feels. Last winter I tried to fix a squeaky belt on my truck, figured 20 minutes tops. Four hours later I was lying under the thing with a flashlight, covered in grease, and my neighbor was asking if I needed a tow truck. The worst part is I never even fixed the squeak, my buddy ended up doing it with a wrench that was like 3 inches longer than mine. Some days the car just wins, and you gotta accept it and go get a slice of pizza to mourn your knuckles.
