Walked into a shop on 5th Ave in Portland and saw them cutting steaks on a plastic board
Stopped by a butcher shop on 5th Ave in Portland while visiting my sister and watched the guy break down a whole ribeye on a white plastic cutting board. I get it, they are cheap and easy, but for a shop charging $26 a pound I expected wood or at least a decent board. The whole case looked fine otherwise but that one detail kept bugging me the whole drive home. Am I being picky or do you all judge a shop by their boards too?
