My $60 cast iron skillet from a garage sale outlasted every non-stick pan I ever bought in 10 years
I picked it up for $6 at a yard sale near Phoenix, spent an hour scrubbing off the rust, and now it's the only pan I use for everything from eggs to steaks - anyone else ditch non-stick for good after trying cast iron?

Oh boy, I have to respectfully disagree. You paid ten times what I did and still got a deal, but that $60 tag is a hard pill to swallow. A little elbow grease and patience turns any rusty old pan into gold, no need to drop that much cash. But hey, if it's serving you well and you love it, that's what matters in the end.
