Serious question, I stopped oiling my cutting boards 2 years ago after a guy in Tulsa told me his 1970s maple block never saw a drop
He runs a diner on 11th Street and his board is still going while mine cracked twice in 5 years, so now I just scrub with hot water and coarse salt and let it dry standing up, has anyone else ditched the mineral oil routine for good?
