That cheap cast iron skillet from a thrift store beat my $80 nonstick pan
Picked up a rusty old Lodge skillet for $6 at a Goodwill in Columbus last month, spent an afternoon scrubbing it down with vinegar and reseasoning it. The thing has outlasted three fancy nonstick pans I bought over the last 5 years, and eggs slide off it like nothing. Anyone else found a beat-up cast iron that turned out to be the best kitchen purchase you ever made?
