Update: my $9 rice cooker from 2019 finally quit last Tuesday, and I'm not even mad
Bought it at a thrift store in Boise for $9 back in 2019. Used it maybe 4 times a week for almost 5 years. Tuesday morning it just clicked and never heated up again. Opened the bottom and the fuse was fried, so I soldered in a $2 replacement from the hardware store and it's running again. Now I'm wondering if cheap appliances from the 90s just outlast everything made today, anyone else see this with old kitchen stuff?
