Fiber splicer vs my old fusion setup, night and day after 5 years

Back in 2019 I was hauling a 40 pound fusion splicer and a generator to every job site out in Bakersfield. Took me 20 minutes just to get the machine warmed up and stabilized before I could even think about cleaving. Last month I finally upgraded to a handheld unit that fits in my tool bag. I did a whole splice job in 15 minutes total, including setup and testing. My back thanks me and my time per job dropped by half. The old gear was reliable but man, I should have made the switch 2 years ago. Anyone else drag around heavy equipment way longer than they should have?
