Three years ago in Denver, I swore by the old crimp connectors. Last month, a single bad one cost me a full day's pay on a re-call.

Learned that the hard way too. I only use heat shrink connectors now.

Yeah, @laurar38, that reminds me of the time I tried using regular butt connectors on my trailer wiring... let's just say it didn't end well.

Absolutely. Heat shrink is the only way to go. Those cheap connectors always fail when you need them most.
