Can we talk about focus motor cables in modern mirrorless cameras?
I just had a repair where I nearly snapped a focus motor cable. These things are super fragile and easy to damage if you're not careful. I learned to use a magnifier and tweezers when handling them. It saved me from a costly mistake. Seriously, check your technique before diving in.

Those cables are scary to work on. Had a similar scare last year. Your method with the magnifier sounds smart.

Have you ever considered that magnifiers might slow you down more than they help? I actually find those cables pretty manageable once you get the hang of them. Sure, they're small, but rushing or overthinking it is what usually causes trouble. A steady hand and good light work better for me than zooming in on every detail. It just takes a bit of patience and practice to feel confident with them.

My friend in Portland tried to fix his Fuji's autofocus last winter. That tiny ribbon cable basically crumbled in his hands during reassembly.
