Spent $45 on a JIS screwdriver set and it paid off instantly

Had a stubborn screw on a Pentax K1000 that kept stripping with my regular Phillips bits. Picked up a Vessel JIS screwdriver set for $45 off Amazon last week. Got the screw out in about 10 seconds without any damage. Anyone else had these make a difference on old Japanese gear?

Used to think a screwdriver's a screwdriver, but that set changed my mind completely. Night and day difference on those old JIS screws.

Oh man, for real. JIS screws are a whole different beast. If you ever run into stuck ones again, try putting a little bit of valve grinding compound on the tip first. Grips it way better and stops cam-out before it starts.
