Can we talk about local park cleanups showing the downside of budget gear...

I was helping clean the park after a scout camp and found so many broken tent poles... I learned that saving cash upfront can mean more trash later... both for your wallet and nature. What's your take on balancing cost and quality for camping stuff?

Ugh, this is just like fast fashion, cheap stuff breaks fast and makes more trash.

How often do you actually camp? I've found it's worth spending more on things like tent poles and sleeping bags that really matter, but you can totally cheap out on stuff like plastic plates.
