My new sleeping bag is leaving plastic fibers everywhere I camp.

These bits pollute water and hurt animals.

Ugh, that gets into the soil and water for years. Most folks don't realize those plastic fibers don't just go away. They break down into smaller and smaller bits over time, becoming microplastics that stay in the ground and streams forever. It means even a single cheap sleeping bag can pollute a campsite for decades. Honestly, it's made me check the build quality of my gear way more closely before I buy.

My buddy had that same problem with plastic fibers. Found them stuck in his breakfast last trip.
