Noticed a weird thing about tent stakes at Rocky Mountain NP last week
I was out near Estes Park last week and saw like 4 different groups all struggling with their stakes in the same rocky patch. Some had cheap aluminum ones that bent instantly, one guy had these big orange plastic ones that just bounced off the ground. Made me wonder if anyone else has found a stake type that actually works in super hard, rocky soil without carrying a sledgehammer. My old steel ones are getting rusty and I'm not sure what to switch to.
