Stopped trusting tent reviews from gear sites, 3 trips proved why

Every review I read hyped this 2 person tent as a 4 season shelter, but on a trip to Mount Hood in October it leaked at the seams within an hour and the poles bent in 20 mph wind. Turns out most reviewers tested it once in a backyard. Has anyone found a reviewer who actually puts gear through bad weather before posting?
