I finally stopped buying new wheel bearings after the guy at the Napa in Tulsa called me out
I was picking up my third hub assembly in 8 months when the counter guy asked what torque I was running the axle nut at. I told him tight by feel and he just laughed and said that's why I keep coming back. He pulled up the spec on his screen, 162 ft-lbs on my car, and I had been going way under with a 3/8 ratchet. Borrowed his 1/2 torque wrench for a $20 deposit and that bearing has been quiet for 14 months now. Anybody got a cheap torque wrench they actually trust for axle nuts, mine only goes to 150.
