Junkyard alternator vs reman unit, the $45 gamble paid off
Pulled a 130-amp alternator off a wrecked Crown Vic for 45 bucks at Pull-A-Part in Denver, cleaned the slip rings and threw new brushes at it. My reman unit was 180 and died in a year, this junkyard one has gone 14 months with zero issues. Anyone else swear by scrapyard electrical parts over the box stores?
