Spent $40 on a junkyard intake manifold and it actually fixed my idle issue

I was dead set against junkyard parts for anything important on my 2000 Camry. Last month I had a rough idle and a shop wanted $250 for a new intake manifold gasket plus labor. Figured I'd try the self serve yard near Denver for $40 and 45 minutes of pulling bolts. Cleaned it up with some carb cleaner and a wire brush at home. Bolted it on Saturday and the car purrs now. Three weeks in and no codes. Has anyone else had luck with junkyard engine parts that they thought would be junk?

Three weeks isn't that long to say it's fixed for good. I grabbed a throttle body from a junked Accord once and it worked fine for about a month before the TPS started glitching out on me. Those older cars can hide vacuum leaks or hairline cracks in the plastic that don't show up until the engine gets hot a few times. Just saying, keep an eye on it when summer rolls around and the underhood temps creep up.
