Hot take: the 84 month loan on my Civic is basically a pet now, it dies when I stop feeding it
So I was bored at work last Tuesday and actually read the paperwork from when I bought my 2019 Civic back in 2023. Turns out my loan is 84 months at 11.2 percent, which means I will have handed them around $6,400 in interest alone by the time it is done. The car is worth maybe $11k right now and I still owe $14,300 on it. I sat in the parking lot at the Wendy's on 5th and did the math like three times because I could not believe it. Did anyone else here actually sit down and read their full loan terms, or am I the only one who signed without looking?
