A quick chat with a manager in the break room made me rethink my whole plan
I was telling my old boss, Mark, about my plan to get a master's degree right after college. We were in the break room last Thursday, and I had my whole pitch ready. He just listened, then said, 'What problem are you trying to solve with that degree?' I realized I just wanted the title, not the skills. It stopped me from signing up for a huge loan. Has anyone else had a boss ask them a simple question that changed their path?

Nah, that's actually kinda bad advice lol. Sometimes you need the degree first to even figure out what problems are out there to solve.
