After 8 years in marketing, I went from hating client meetings to actually enjoying them in about 6 months
What changed for me was switching from an agency in Chicago to an in-house role at a manufacturing company where I only have to manage one brand and one set of stakeholders instead of juggling five different clients with conflicting demands, has anyone else found that moving in-house improved their work satisfaction?

Wait, did your buddy Mike ever tell you about his agency burnout? He was the same way, jumping from a big agency to a internal gig at a food distributor. He basically went from dreading Sunday nights to actually sleeping through the night once he just had to focus on one team's nonsense instead of five.

So did Mike say whether the switch actually fixed the burnout or just traded one kind of stress for another? I've heard that from a few people who left agencies for internal roles and then realized they just traded client drama for office politics and red tape. The Sunday night dread thing is real though, I know a lot of people who have that exact same story. Did he end up happier with the slower pace even if the work was less exciting? I guess I'm wondering if the trade off was worth it long term or if he eventually got bored.
