My interview at a bakery in Austin went great until I called the owner by her dog's name
I walked into a small bakery on South First for a counter job, and the owner's dog, Biscuit, was behind the register. I got so nervous that when she introduced herself as Carol, I said "nice to meet you, Biscuit" and shook her hand anyway. I just owned it, said the dog was clearly the boss, and we both cracked up, then she offered me the Saturday shift on the spot. Has anyone else blanked on a name and somehow turned it into a job offer?
