Wasted $800 on a career coaching program that just gave me generic advice

Signed up for this program called Career Elevator last January because I was feeling stuck. All they did was give me scripts like "tell me about a time you showed leadership" and told me to update my LinkedIn. I could have gotten that from a 50 cent library book. Has anyone else been burned by these expensive career coaches?

Yeah I read somewhere that most of those programs just recycle the same stuff you can find for free online.

Totally agree with @kai463 - half the time it's just the same old articles repackaged with a new logo. I've found more useful info in random Reddit threads than in some paid courses I've tried. It's honestly just lazy marketing pretending to be valuable content.
