Went back to my old office building and the cubicles are all gone
Stopped by the place I worked from 2009 to 2015 last week to grab a file from a buddy. The whole floor is open seating now, not a single cubicle wall left. Back then we had those tall gray panels and I knew everyone's desk by the little family photos clipped on top. Now it's just rows of laptops and people in headphones, nobody even looking up. My buddy said they cut the office space by 40% and made everyone hot desk. How do you build any sort of routine or feel like you own your work when you don't have a spot? Anyone else miss the old setup or am I just stuck in the past?
